Our anchor spot tonight was on the north side of Russell Island at the confluence of Tarr and Johns Hopkins Inlets. While too exposed to use as an anchorage if any kind of weather was coming, the benign conditions and settled forecast meant that we were able to take advantage of the moderate depths to spend the night in one of the more scenic locations either Angie or Mike had ever seen.
In view of 4 tidewater glaciers and with snow-capped mountains in every direction, it’s hard to imagine a more picturesque setting.
