Our neighbors at our marina in Portland are Fred and Barbara, who have the nicest Catalina 27 we’ve ever seen. They take great care of the boat and Fred is probably at the marina more often than we are.
Before we left, Fred graciously gave us a ride to drop off our cars at home and then drove us back to the marina. Then he surprised us with a bottle of wine to send us on our way!
We enjoyed the wine this week at anchor in Halkett Cove on Gambier Island in Howe Sound – just to the north of the city of Vancouver.
