We arrived in Prince Rupert early this afternoon. This is the northernmost city on the British Columbia coast, and it’s only 50 miles or so to the southern border with Alaska from here.
We haven’t been to a city, or even a town, for about a week and a half. Our life on the boat is really comfortable, so we don’t miss too many things from civilization. But one thing we don’t have on board is french fries – Mike hasn’t yet been able to convince Angie to install that deep fat fryer.
We dinghied ashore from our anchorage across the bay, and first stop was Breakers Pub for a proper meal – a deep-fried fish sandwich accompanied by a huge serving of fries. Delicious!
