We topped yesterday’s quarter mile run by sailing a grand total of about 5 miles today.  It feels like summer here, and we’re starting to see two things that San Francisco Bay is known for – fog pouring in through the Golden Gate and strong breezes.  It was blowing up to 25 knots, so we made the 5 mile run across the central bay in about 45 minutes.

We anchored for the night in Aquatic Park.  In addition to a fantastic view of the Ghirardelli building and the rest of downtown, this protected cove is a popular spot for hearty folks to swim in the 60 degree water of the bay.  They are definitely braver than us!
