We have settled into the anchorage and are enjoying what Hanalei has to offer.
Surfing- we have caught some tiny, but fun summer waves. We paddle from the boat over to the surf break, about 1/4 mile away- so even if the waves are tiny, it is a great workout.
Chicken in a Barrel- we’ve already eaten at our favorite restaurant twice and will be back again for sure! They have delicious BBQ chicken and scrumptious battered fries. Good thing we are surfing and swimming a lot to work off all of our Chicken in a Barrel calories…
Beachcombing- Hanalei is a beautiful crescent shaped beach with nearly 2 miles of sandy shoreline surrounded by stunning green mountains. Daily walks on the beach are part of the crew’s routine.
Swimming- Madrone’s crew can get to land by taking the dinghy or by swimming. Sometimes we like to shake it up and swim ashore instead of taking the dinghy. The water is 82F and as a result, it is a nice swim to shore.
Shave Ice- Wishing Well Shave Ice is a favorite of ours. Mike gets his usual, cherry and lime, and Angie orders Passionfruit and hibiscus-lime with lilikoi puree. Yum!
Life is good in Hanalei Bay!
