Good thing pelicans have long necks…

Monterey turned out to be a fantastic stop.  In addition to the beautiful scenery, the town has a mellow pace and nearly everyone we met was very friendly.  We spent five days exploring and enjoying the town, and it’s definitely a place we could imagine living full-time someday.

One of the highlights of town is the ubiquitous marine wildlife.  Everywhere along the long, long waterfront, marine animals are living and flourishing.  In addition to sea otters, we were treated to constant visits from harbor seals, sea lions, pelicans, terns and dolphins.

We like Monterey!
