We’ve been sailing south for over a month now, and there have only been a handful of days without rain. It hasn’t rained constantly each day, but almost every day has featured some rain.
Even on days with some sun, there’s almost always at least one squall or rain storm within view of the boat. We caught ourselves saying “It looks like it’s raining over there” so often, that it’s now become a joke – you could say it almost anytime and it would likely be true.
After 20 or so years in the Pacific Northwest of the US, we consider ourselves to be fairly experienced with rain. But even by our standards this is a wet, wet place.
