Today the wind finally took a breather. For the past 13 days, we’ve had winds between 16 and 25 knots, nearly always from directly on the beam. The result has been fast sailing – Madrone has never sailed so fast for such a long period of time, on any passage we’ve done.
However, wind is n the beam also means waves on the beam. And that is not comfortable. So we’re looking forward to a few days of slower, steadier conditions so that we can relax, catch up on a few boat projects, and improve our sleep.
All’s well onboard.
