For the past week, Oso has been anchored just a couple of miles from the town of Le Marin on the island of Martinique. And while Le Marin is the spot for big grocery stores and boat supplies, the closest settlement is actually the village of St Anne.

With a dinghy dock, a small grocery store, and a few bars and restaurants, St Anne is exactly the kind of low-key Caribbean town that appeals to us.

A quick 3 minute dinghy ride from our anchored boat drops us in town, and another 3 minute walk from the dinghy dock puts us at Le Daurade for a delicious lunch of poulet boucané.

Life is good!
