It’s hard for us to believe, but it has been more than 4 years since we last sailed to Martha’s Vineyard off of Cape Cod on the US east coast. That’s too long between visits to one of Mike’s favorite spots in all of the US.

The weather gods cooperate during this visit, and Oso gets a chance to explore a bit more – enjoying the open roadstead off the speck of a fishing village of Menemsha, and anchoring just off the side of the ferry channel into Vineyard Haven.

The timing gods do the same, and Mike’s college friend Marty is on the island with his family and a few friends for the weekend. And just like last time, it’s like no time has passed at all. Oso hosts 5 kids and 4 adults – likely the most humans ever on board this boat at the same time – and we enjoy a fantastic dinner ashore at Marty’s house on Chappaquiddick.
