Day Four
Yesterday’s steady stream of squalls peters out by midday, and Oso pokes her bow into bright sunny skies. The area water is impossible to describe- the deep crystalline blue of the tropical sea under a clear sky is a color that is likely not found anywhere else on earth.
Just as forecast, the wind has dropped to 10kts or less. But unlike the forecast calls for, what were supposed to be headwinds stay just far enough off the bow to allow good progress southwards. Oso clicks off the miles.
It doesn’t seem often that the forecast is wrong in our favor – we’ll take it!
