One of the Octopus Islands features a small abandoned cabin from an earlier resident, and it’s become traditional for visiting boats to leave a sign there.
Far be it for the crew of Madrone to argue with tradition….
We found a piece of driftwood outside the cabin, and Angie made the design and sketched it out in pencil. After Mike carved out the design using the handy battery-powered Dremel tool, Angie filled in the recesses using colored Sharpies.
The result actually looked a lot better than either Mike or Angie expected, and it seemed pretty much in keeping with the other signs in the cabin.
