Pieces of olivine were formed when the volcano on Floreana erupted and magnesium iron silicate crystallized to form these beautiful green crystals

 

Dropping off a few postcards at Post Office Bay, Floreana.  This system of sending letters to family was originally started by whalers who left their mail for sailors on passing ships to deliver. We will see if our postcards ever get delivered…
