Our favorite animal from the Galapagos is the sea lion. Called lobo marino (or sea wolf) in Spanish, we found the sea lions to be remarkably curious, really playful, and unbelievably athletic in the water. They are also unbelievably sleepy when they haul out for a post-fishing rest on the beach, or the rocks, or sometimes the sidewalks or park benches.
