Land ho!!!! Easter Island is in sight, directly off the bow. As of noon, what started as a grey smudge on the horizon has begun to turn green and resolve into a number of volcanic cones.

Madrone definitely sails better when she can fly her mainsail, but we made do with a combination of jib, staysail, and spinnaker, together with the engine when the wind dropped overnight.

We’re looking forward to arriving.
