It probably comes as no surprise or hear that the air temperature has been really cold down here. When that is combined with the unsettled weather requiring us to be in the cockpit most of the time, it means that we’ve almost always been cold.

Both Angie and Mike have been bundled up. Typical gear on the bottom half is a pair of fleece pants for insulation, another second pair of pants, and then a waterproof bib over the top of it all. Up top, it’s two or three polypropylene shirts, a pair of fleeces, either one or two insulated jackets, all covered by a waterproof jacket.

Today was the first day that we awoke and noticed that it’s getting warmer. We’re ready.

All’s well onboard.
