Today marked a couple of milestones on our passage north. First, we passed from the longitudes of the 30s into the 20s. We think the fact that sailors haven’t bestowed ominous sounding names on these latitude bands is a good sign.
Second, we’ve now sailed more than 2200 nautical miles since departing Puerto Williams. That’s actually a longer distance than our passage from San Francisco to Hilo, Hawaii. Despite our unplanned stop before Le Maire Strait, we’ve made decent time. We still have a long way to go, so here’s hoping it continues.
All’s well onboard.
