It might seem strange that a couple confined to less than 400 square ft (~40 square m) for 6 weeks together doesn’t see much of each other. But that’s the nature of the watch schedule on board.

Both Mike and Angie are up together for an hour or so in the morning – Angie is just wrapping up her morning watch while Mike has woken up from sleeping after his overnight shift.

And in the late afternoon, dinner is together for an hour or two before Angie gets some sleep before her night watch. Other than those times, one person is usually sleeping or napping while the other person takes the watch.

We’re looking forward to spending some more time together.

All’s well onboard.
