Day thirty-six of our passage north ends at noon like each of the preceding thirty-five days have. There’s an important difference, though – at the end of the day, Madrone is less than 120nm from Antigua. With the forecast that we have, and with some luck, it’s likely we’ll make landfall tomorrow!

Once we arrive in Antigua, we’ll first need to get clearance from the local health inspectors- we don’t have a recent PCR test, but we’re hopeful that effectively quarantining since 14 March, when we left Puerto Williams, will satisfy their requirements.

If we’re approved, then Mike will be off to Customs and Immigration to formally clear the boat and the crew into the country. Assuming that all goes smoothly, everybody will be able to get off the boat for the first time in more than six weeks.

Are we looking forward to it? We’ll let you guess…

All’s well onboard.
