An afternoon wind shift showed up just a little earlier than forecasted, with yesterday’s westerly swinging into the north. The direction and strength are both favorable for Madrone – she rockets along on a close reach with a single reef in the main and a few turns rolled into the genoa.

With this wind direction, we can continue to point directly at Cape Finisterre. We’re happy to have the miles ticking away under sunny skies.

All’s well onboard.
