With Madrone safely ensconsed in her winter home, her crew can get down to the serious business of the season – exploring London. After a couple of years in less-traveled places, a chance for a few months of city life sounds like a nice change of pace.

And after just a few short days, London has confirmed its reputation as one of the best places in the world to be a tourist. No matter which direction we head from our home base, we find plenty to see and experience – fantastic architecture (both old and modern), good restaurants, and the historic sites for which London is deservedly famous.

We’re off to a good start!
