London is a busy place, with a population of over 9M people sharing a relatively small area. But there are still some spots to enjoy a little bit of quiet away from the bustle of city life.
The church of St Dunstan-in-the-East was first built around the year 1100. Severely damaged during WWII bombing in 1941, the church grounds were converted to a public garden instead of being rebuilt.
The church’s tower and several walls remain, and the quiet of the gardens belies the location in the heart of the City of London.
