A good, warm hiding place on a blustery autumn afternoon is Tate Modern museum. An easy half hour walk along the banks of the Thames from Madrone’s winter home, the art inside is a jolt of culture and a crazy juxtaposition with the historic buildings outside.
When we arrived, we discovered multiple wings of the museum, each with at least 6 floors. After a few hours strolling through the drawings, paintings, lights, sound, and videos, we’d covered one floor of one wing.
Good thing we should have plenty of rainy days coming up to use to explore the rest.
