The eponymous home of the world’s preeminent tennis tournament is a holy grail for sports enthusiasts. Wimbledon has been held annually since 1877, and it’s unique in its adherence to tradition – both for the grass courts on which the tournament is still held, and for the strict dress code for the players.

Luckily for us, the private club where the tournament is held offers public tours. We enjoyed an close-up view of the the courts themselves (surprisingly large for tennis courts, yet surprisingly small for the 12-15k spectators they hold), the grass-growing operation, and the small museum that presents memorabilia from years past (if you’re interested in John McEnroe‘s Nikes, you’re in luck).

A well-spent afternoon for any tennis fan!
