We first met Jim and Janet in beautiful Quisset harbor on Cape Cod. They’d seen Madrone’s video and were curious to know more about Taswell sailboats, so we invited them onboard for a tour.

Both of them turned out to be great folks (or at least managed to put up with us without complaint), so we invited them to join us on a short passage from Newport, RI, to the northern Chesapeake Bay. They enjoyed the trip (except for the first eight hours of pounding upwind over the tip of Long Island) and we’ve stayed in touch ever since.

So, it was great to welcome them to London. As fellow sailors, we of course checked out the National Maritime Museum, and had a great several days of touring the city.
