The forecast calls for easterly winds of 15 to 25 knots, and that’s exactly what we find. With the genoa poled out to windward and a reefed main set to leeward, Oso bombs down the trades, averaging an effortless 8 knots of speed.

With conditions like this, it’s easy to think  back to the merchant and navy ships from the colonial age enjoying the same sparkling sailing in these same waters that we do today.
