Back in 2022, Madrone took advantage of the strong Guyana current of the northeast coast of South America as she sailed her Epic Journey from Chile to Antigua.
Oso now picks up the tail of that same current, just a bit further westward, and the boost of the current counteracts the slow sailing of the first half of the day, keeping average speed high.
The end of Day Three finds Oso about 40nm off the tip of the Guajira Peninsula of the extreme northeast corner of Colombia.
