Every passage is different, and one of the notable features of this one has been the amazingly settled weather. Almost every night has been nearly cloud-free, which means we’ve had front row seats as the moon has increased from a sliver to a giant orb dominating the sky, nearly turning night to day, and then the march in reverse as it’s waned to less than half its full size.
And words don’t do justice to the spray of stars stretching from horizon to horizon, a banner twinkling across the sky. And always, the iconic Southern Cross steady off the port beam, letting us know that we’re sailing in the right direction.
All’s well aboard.
