Checking out the surf at Tracks- this was in between sets

Our first activity after Mike returned from his business trip was paddling out for some waves on our new boards.  We headed about 5 miles north of Ko Olina Marina to a surf break called Tracks.

Another beautiful bay on the west coast of Oahu

We paddled out with a super friendly local and his young son.  The surf was small, but the sun was shining, the water was warm and the vibe was chill.  We even saw a sea turtle swimming around while we were waiting between sets.

After surfing we headed north to check out the surf break at Makaha.  Today it was pretty flat, but this can be an epic spot on the west coast of Oahu when the swell is right.

After surfing, touring and beach exploring we had worked up quite an appetite & it was time for plate lunch at Barbeque Kai in Waianae. Yum!
