Glassy mornings in the marina are beautiful

Our original plan for the Mexican coast was to keep heading south to at least the town of Zihuatanejo, and perhaps even head as far south as Acapulco.  But plans are meant to change, and ours did.

A need for a quick trip back to the US meant that we needed some place to park the boat for a few days.  The town of Barra de Navidad has a safe and well-maintained marina in a beautiful resort complex, and the nearby town of Melaque has good travel connections to Puerto Vallarta.  In turn, Puerto Vallarta has good connections to  the US.

So, we’re happy to be back in Barra for a few days to prep the boat for a week on her own.

A pair of seafood molcajetes at El Manglito Restaurant in Barra – we couldn’t decide on red or green, so we got one of each!
