Regular readers will recognize that one of our favorite things to do in a new place is to sample the local food.  Mexico City turned out to be a perfect place for us to indulge – it’s full of restaurants and we had no problem finding delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Here are a few of our favorites….

Molcajete & Tlayuda for dinner at Pasillo de Humo, a Oaxacan style restaurant

Angie staring at Mike’s chilaquiles and wishing she had ordered those instead of salad at Chilpa

Adding salsas to the fish tacos at El Pescadito

Fish tacos all dressed up and ready to go

Maracuya (passion fruit), mango & strawberry smoothie

Fried egg sandwiches at Clara y Ema in Condesa

Stopping for an assortment of tacos at a popular street taco stand

The trompo (spit) where the delicious pastor tacos come from at Tacos Alvaro Obregón in Roma Norte

We are always up for some tacos al pastor

Angie’s always happy to stop for churros

Our favorite bakery, Panadería Rosetta, has an assortment of delicious pastries and breads. We tried to sample as many as possible on our 3 visits to the bakery
