Only 10 miles or so across the channel from Tahiti, Moorea feels like a different world altogether.  Without an international airport, a multi-lane road, or even a stoplight on the island, the pace of life is exactly right for us – somewhere between slow and slower.

From Tahiti, we packed our bags and hopped on one of the many scheduled ferries; about 45 minutes later we found ourselves on Moorea.  We picked up a rental car and meandered to our Airbnb, about half an hour drive on the antipodes of the island.

Chile has not reopened their border yet, so we have nothing to do but wait.  We’re anxious to head back to Madrone, but if we have to wait somewhere Moorea will do…
