Horse Guards is the name of the Westminster building that was formerly the headquarters of the British Army. And in case anyone is confused about where it gets its name, a pair of soldiers still stand guard on horseback at the entrance.

The soldiers are members of The King’s Life Guards, and they keep station between the massive government area of Whitehall and the Horse Guards Parade, the open-air parade ground that was once used as a jousting area by King Henry VIII.
