Located just downriver from central London in Greenwich, the Royal Hospital for Seamen was commissioned in the late-1600s on the orders of Queen Mary II.  Originally designed by Christopher Wren, it was completed in the early 1700s, and it’s a spectacular piece of architecture.

Stunning architecture

The hospital became the Royal Naval College in the late-1800s and continued in that role for more than 100 years.  Today, the buildings host concerts and events as well as serving as the home of University of Greenwich.
