It always seems to take a couple of days to settle into the rhythm of a passage, and this one is no different. The crew is spending a lot of time napping, trying to adjust to the nighttime watch schedule.

But it helps that the conditions are more or less exactly what we would have ordered, were we omnipotent and could control the weather – wind always above 15kts but rarely over 20, nearly flat sea state, and 48 straight hours without a single cloud marring the blue disc of sky overhead.

In between naps, and to make us feel less like sloths, we do a few small boat chores like cleaning the Panama City dust off the solar panels. No fishing yet, as the fridge and freezer are too full even if Angie were to catch one.

All’s well aboard.
