Oso is in her element, with the genoa poled out to port, the main eased to starboard, and the 15-18kt breeze steady over the port quarter. There seems to be an on-and-off westward-setting current that also helps our speed over ground.
There’s only a small slice of moon, so that makes the stars and the bioluminescence seem even brighter. Shooting stars regularly fly overhead, and each dolphin in a pod of 30 or so looks like a green, glowing torpedo as they dart past the boat.
All’s well aboard.
